RACE FORMAT
All six America’s Cup teams will compete in the Preliminary Regatta in their new AC75s.
The racing starts on August 22nd with four days of match races to find the two fastest teams. The top two teams will progress to the winner-takes-all final match race on the fourth and last day to decide the ultimate winner of the event.
Races kick off daily at 2.00 pm (14:00 CEST) and run until 4 or 5 pm, depending on the race schedule.

RACE FORMAT
The Louis Vuitton Cup (Challenger Selections Series) will determine which team will face the Defender Emirates Team New Zealand in the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup Match.
The Series comprises of a double Round Robin stage and a Semi-Final stage, followed by a two-boat Match Race Final. The top four teams will race in a first-to-five-points Semi-Final, with the two winners advancing to the Louis Vuitton Cup Final.
The winner of the Louis Vuitton Cup is the first team to score seven points and will then face Emirates Team New Zealand in the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup.
Racing starts at 2.00 pm (14:00 CEST) on race days (times might adjust slightly on the days that coincide with UniCredit Youth America’s Cup racing), and runs until 4 or 5 pm, depending on the race schedule.

In the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup Match the Defender Emirates Team New Zealand will face the winner of the Louis Vuitton Cup (Challenger Selection Series) in a first to seven points Match. Each race will be a match race between the two teams.
The winner of each race scores one point, the loser scores no points. The first team to score seven points will become the Defender of the 38th America’s Cup.
